Boliden Mines staff function has approximately 300 employees and includes, among other departments: HR & Sustainability, Finance, Technology, Business Development and Exploration.
The Department of Production Technology serves as a central resource for business development in the mining sector. The Department is responsible for developing and implementing Boliden's organisational and production philosophy, New Boliden Way, in the operational departments within the business area.
Your duties will comprise developing and implementing Boliden's organisational and production philosophy, New Boliden Way, in the operational departments within Business Area Mines.
These duties include training and practice for employees in new ways of working, including methods and tools for continuous improvement. Support and coaching for managers and employees, and internal audits of the production management system are included, as well as carrying out analyses to identify potential improvements in our operations. Our efforts work according to a clear project model to support our operational departments with their process development.
We work with:
Management Systems - key ratios, reviews and analysis of deviations
Processes - eliminating waste, standardised procedures, production planning and control
People - leadership, roles and responsibilities
The work is carried out at our operational sites but the posting is in Boliden. In periods, you will work as part of a larger team out in one of our operating units. A great deal of travel will form part of the position, including trips to Ireland and Finland. The position is full time and permanent and you will be based in Boliden.
We are looking for an experienced leader who can be part of our team. You possess experience in business development within your own line organization. To succeed in your role as business developer, you be must goal-oriented, professional and comfortable in a position of responsibility in running projects in a structured manner with a high degree of quality. Since you will be leading projects together with colleagues from various sectors of our business, it is essential you also possess a consultant personality and that you have a good ability in relationship building.
To succeed in the role, you must be a positive initiative-taker, as well as being responsive and have a personality characterised by integrity. Of course, you work systematically and are motivated by developing businesses and therefore have the ability to influence and create commitment among individuals and groups. Working in teams is something you are driven by, as well as working independently.
Education and qualifications
Master of Science in production and quality engineering, industrial economics or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. We believe that you have some years of practical experience from the production industry that has implemented Lean Production.
Written and spoken proficiency in Swedish, Finnish and English is a requirement.
A category B driving licence is a requirement.
